Overview of Fustic House
Fustic house is a stunning example of Provence-style architecture dating back to 1740. Set on a ridge above the tame Caribbean coastline, you are located mere steps from the water. Oliver Messel redesigned the property in the late 1970s, and it retains his theatrical influences to this day.
The 11 acres of landscaped gardens offer sublime views over the Caribbean and west coast. Privacy is assured, and you even have Messel’s famous lagoon-style swimming pool to enjoy your tropical paradise. A large decking area extends out over the cliff edge, as well as a lotus lake, Arawak cave system and Mahogany park to enjoy.
Guests at Fustic House all have exclusive access of the Port St Charles Yacht Club, with its members-only restaurant, bar, pool and beach. Moreover, you can wander up the beach to the famed Fish Pot restaurant at Little Good Harbour, where you also have use of its facilities. For the really adventurous, there is also the use of two zippa speedboats included (driver and fuel charged at cost).
You can arrange water and land sports on request, including cycling, tennis, golf, sailing, tours, excursions, and day trips. Simply contact the property manager who will gladly arrange this for you.
Bedrooms
Spread across four separate wings, the property features seven luxury suites: two in the Great house, two in the Plantation Wing, two in the Messel Wing, and one in the Pavilion. All rooms feature air conditioning, custom-made Indian linen, Bose sound systems and super king size/double queen size beds (apart for Messel Wing rooms with two twin beds).
Five of the bedrooms feature their own dedicated en-suite facilities, while the other two are adjacent to bathrooms. The two Plantation Wing suites and the Pavilion Suite even boast private outdoor showers.
Communal Areas
The signature part of the grounds is the world famous Oliver Messel swimming pool. Carved from coral stone, the free-formed lagoon-style pool is surrounded by a large deck over a tropical ravine, just minutes from the serene beach.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor living, featuring a large terrace and multiple seating/dining areas for ample entertainment opportunities. The Plantation Wing houses a games room with various games and equipment, making the property ideal for children.
Additionally, a small gym offers weights and yoga/pilates, while a 60” HD TV enhances the living area, creating an engaging home theatre system.
Staff
The dedicated, highly-trained staff at Fustic House ensures a memorable stay for you. Supervised by the Property Manager, the 14-strong team includes your own private chef, butler, estate manager, house manager and 3 housekeepers, 3 gardeners, a sous chef and 3 security guards offering 24 hour coverage.
Kindly note, our housekeepers aren’t trained nannies and shouldn’t be expected to babysit infants and children. If you arrange babysitting with the staff, please note that this is at your own risk.
The levy on accommodation, collected in resort, will cost between US$2.50 (£1.90) and $17.50 (£14.50 for 5* Hotels) per room per night.
