Things to Do
Hotel Chocolat is a nature lover’s paradise, with large amounts of the estate open to guests to explore. There are a number of self-guided trails that you can embark on that take in the sights and sounds of this incredible landscape. Birdlife and numerous flower and plant species can be found. There are also tours around the famous cocoa groves and nursery so you can get a sense of the process involved in growing and cultivating this most special of ingredient.
Residents at the hotel also have access to the infinity pool cut out of the rock. Here you are encouraged to relax and do as little as possible while admiring the incredible views, while a dedicate club steward is on hand to serve drinks and snacks to your lounger.
The resort also operates a beach club, with daily transport down the mountainside to a waiting speedboat at the harbour in the nearby town of Soufriere. There you will be whisked to local beaches where you can enjoy a variety of water sports, or simply sunbathe with the sand between your toes and let the warm Caribbean sun wash over you. If you would like an element of personalisation, transport outside of the set schedule can be organised for an extra cost.
In addition to the regular beach access trips, a number of other boat excursions can be organised, ranging from scenic cruises around the west coast of St Lucia, exploring Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island, Marigot Bay and more, all from the comfort of the hotel’s two private boats – Boucanier I and II.
Island tours and adventures are also available, with extended trips to the many wonderful sights and sounds of the area and beyond, as well as a climb to the summit of the iconic Piton Mountains.
The Cacao Juvenate spa utilises the unique and beneficial properties of the products grown on the state to create a selection of spa products and lotions for you to buy and use. They also play a vital role in the spa treatments on offer here. The resident massage therapist uses deft and agile hands and a mountain of knowledge in the spa treatment rooms to sooth your tired and aching body and soul. All of the rooms benefit from spectacular views and cooling breezes .
Due to the location and setting of the resort children younger than 12 years old are not accepted at any time of year. There are steep inclines and drops, as well as uneven ground and rocks. Children between 12 and 16 can share a lodge or luxe lodge with two adults on a rollaway bed (for an extra cost).
